Although there were a couple of other panels -- and not insubstantial ones either -- this was essentially the IRT road show, there to defend and promote their solution(s) to the interminable complaints from trademark holders about new TLDs.   It was met with outrage from public policy people opposed to them &quot;making new law&quot; and equal outrage from trademark lawyers who felt they were being &quot;blackmailed&quot; by ICANN and registrars.

All in all, a bunch of people posturing.  I made comments too, so I shouldn&#039;t exclude myself.</description>
