Partners: Auction Providers

About Auction Services

Domain name auctions are becoming common for allocation of valuable domain names. A collision auction can be used to decide between applicants during the Sunrise or Landrush period. High-value names, also called premium names, can be sold after your TLD has launched, either live or on a web site. Live auctions have a great public relations effect, and with a good auctioneer in front of the right crowd can increase value significantly. Web-based auctions of premium names allow bidders from all over the world to get involved.

The Minds + Machines team has extensive experience with domain auctions and auction providers. Each auction house has strengths and weaknesses and provides distinct services. We’ll help determine the most effective use of auctions for your high-value names. (There’s a further discussion of auctions on our Sunrise Period page.)

Minds + Machines clients may receive preferential pricing, discounts, or enhanced service offerings from our partners.

bidoBido is a refreshing online “social auction platform”. The Bido process is innovative and distinct because each domain auction starts at $1, may or may not have a reserve price, and undergoes commentary from a large community of experienced domain developers while being auctioned. Each auction also features an active chatroom during the bidding action. This gives the buyer a value and an authentic rationalization of what they are getting in to. Bido can tailor their auction platform for just about any of a TLD operator’s needs, please contact them for a consultation.
