Minds + Machines practices a give-before-you-get ethic of business. Our resources section contains the latest information about the new gTLD process that we can find, both from ICANN and non-ICANN sources, and is meant as a general resource available to the public interested in new gTLDs.
Publicly available resources
Our glossary contains many of the common terms of “domainspeak.” We’ll be adding to it as we go along. You may freely copy this with attribution to us. Throughout the site, you’ll see words in green type with a dotted underline — these will connect you directly to the definition of that word in the glossary.
ICANN Resources has links to the updated materials from ICANN. These include the Application Guide and associated memoranda, but also to other new gTLD materials — old applications, for instance — that may be useful to you as you prepare.
The non-ICANN Resources page consists of useful information put out by private people, ccTLD administrations, and other registries that has a fairly direct bearing on new gTLDs.
We’ve also posted up a link to the Sword Algorithm tool so you can test out your TLD’s uniqueness. Or, to come at it from a different point of view, you can test out how useless the Sword Algorithm is.
We have surely missed one or two or ten things — if so, will you point it out? We’ll add it so that it’s available to you and to others.
