The rich roots of Espresso
Espresso, our registry services platform, is based on CoCCA Tools, the most widely deployed registry software in the world. More than 30 top-level domains and all major ICANN registars have fully integrated with the platform.
As CoCCA is for ccTLDs, so Espresso is for gTLDs.
CoCCA and Espresso are written to accommodate diverse business plans and implementation schemes. TLD operators may choose any currency or language; currently English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Arabic and Japanese are in use. The base code is written in Java and adheres to the engineering specifications (RFCs) for registration, resolution, and WhoIs information. Espresso can also be configured for use with Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) and ENUM. It supports IPv6 and DNSSEC. It is secure and standards-based.
The software adds ease and elegance to registry operations and can be configured in an afternoon. Espresso builds on this amazing tool with new features specifically targeted for gTLDs, including built-in reporting feature and Customer Relations Management (CRM) tools. Espresso will meet or exceed any ICANN requirements for new gTLDs.
